The port is ready to receive traders. |
Patroon’s Report:
Last year did not go well from a production standpoint,
as the weather was most uncooperative. We lost a great portion of our crops
due to an abnormally early frost. Good planning, though, allowed us to dip
into our reserves to ensure none went hungry. Even with the great shortfall,
we still have more than a full year of food in reserve. As the ground is
still frozen as I write this report, I hope we won’t need to use more of it.
There is no new news on the international front. The
poor weather also limited our encounters with the natives.
To prepare for expansion, we’ll being by getting the
buildings needed for sand and clay, the main components of glass and bricks. We’re also expecting our first visit by a
merchant ship. We’ve been able to prepare
a decent offering for trade.
