The new residence for the mayor.

Mayor’s Report:
War once again rages between the English and the Dutch. The French have joined the war on the side of the English and have invaded our home country. Here in New York, things have remained calm. There has been little impact to trade or expansion. None of our rights have been infringed.

Andro Postmael won his re-election bid, again with no opposition. There are currently only 8 men eligible to hold a council seat, the other 7 original men and now Laver Foure. It will be five more years until our first four children born in Wiltwyck attain the age of eligibility.

Evelt Aerts five year term is up for re-election to a three year term this year. Once again, it looks like no one will oppose him.

The town has started construction on a new official mayoral residence, one of the few things requested of us by the English. That building, next to the town hall, should be completed early this year.

The arrival of 8 new children last year caused us to dip into our food reserves. We still have more than one year in storage, but don’t want to get much lower than that.
