Patroon’s Report: The market, school and tailor were all completed. We were also able to get a new church building completed ahead of schedule due to the incredibly mild winter that saw no snow and the ground never freezing. It has been decided that candles made from beeswax will be our primary export, along with excess wool coats and firewood. To that end, the apiary will switch from producing honey to wax and a new Chandlery building will be constructed next door. Plans for a bride over the north river are also in place, with construction to start this year. War with England continues, but still with no direct impact on the colony. We have cleared more land, but I fear this may negatively impact our relationship with the natives.
