Patroon’s Report: This will be a big year for the development of the town. Our first eight children born here will graduate and join the workforce, a 25% increase over who we have available now. War with England has begun, though we are spared here. Relations with the new English governor remain cordial, but neither side seems to want to commit knowing that the balance of power is in flux. We have not yet been pressured to formerly surrender and become an English town, but the council has begun making formal preparations in case it becomes required. No English flag yet flies in town, no Dutch flag has been removed. We’ve received Bison which will be bred for meat and leather. We’re going to add a corn field and a well, then prepare for more crop fields for next year.
