The gardens at Town Hall are complete.
Mayor’s Report:
Two of our original settlers passed away last year.  I fear we may see more people passing over the next few years.

Malvia Postmael was elected, defeating Talonza Gysbert in a close vote. Our former governor, Sir Edmund Andros, is back in the colonies, having been appointed governor of the Dominion of New England.  While he tried to call an assembly, he was overruled by the Lords of Trade, who feel deliberation is too inefficient. There are rumblings that the Dominion could be expanded to include New York, but nothing concrete has come of it.

There are now 18 men who are eligible to hold a seat on the council, but many are too busy with their jobs to take time out for government. At 43, Laver Foure is the eldest on the council. His seat is up for election this year. His son-in-law, Juliano Chambers, has expressed an interest in running for the council, but likely won’t this year against a member of his family.

We were not able to make a dent in the need for iron or tools, but we were able to get some new houses and bridges to the eastern bank and Baerents Island completed.
