A fire broke out in the marketplace residential section just as the year began. Two wooden homes were destroyed.

Patroon’s Report:
The Dutch have been winning the war against England, but there has still been no direct fighting here in New York. We have taken to calling the colony that now as to keep our relationship with the governor on good terms. London was beset by a plague and fire this past year, and the Crown simply has no money left to wage war.

We have acquired a new crop and will plant it this year. We’ve marked out the land for a new quarry near the hospital on the west of town. We’ll need a more reliable source of stone to continue expanding and upgrading.

Elections are still off the table. The council will remain unchanged.
